Feel Like A Walk? Published on May 13, 2015May 13, 2015 by ericmartinwisserLeave a comment Out of the woods and onto the west bank for sunrise. Here comes the pink. That’s the Kittatinny Ridge on the left. The Osprey landed in a tree over there; too far away for my camera. Meanwhile the sunrise continued. There were some golden moments. The sun continued ascending. The light was upon us. The tree on the left is a Shag Bark Hickory. There are a lot of them around here. The northeast corner of the lake becomes a marsh. It was cool, so the mosquitoes were at a minimum. geopsych and I like this Beech that stands in the woods by the marsh.
Scherersville Published on April 25, 2015April 25, 2015 by ericmartinwisserLeave a comment Big beech and tulip poplar, dutchman’s breeches, spring beauties, crinkle root, bloodroot, trout lilies can all be found in these woods. Not bad for a county park in the middle of a very populated area.
